A lovely weekend ~~~

The special one was in town last weekend, reached KL on Friday evening. Met up my Jimuis in Sunway for steamboat - Umami. Was already 9pm by the time we reached, blamed the stupid jam! Was too hungry so didn't even snap picture there! So not Mie ..haha...

Meagan suggested we should go for durians after the dinner, obviously we said YES! So we headed to SS2, which is famous fo the RM10 Eat-All-You-Can durians for RM10 or 15 like that....but we were too full so didn't take that offer, opted to eat premium durians instead...haha...

Drooling ~~~~

We definitely enjoyed ourselves!

Guarantee!
His craving was so great we ended up going there again the next evening...hohoho~~~

We had DimSum breakfast at the famous Jin Xuan Hong Kong @ Damansara Jaya the next morning...long queue

Got the waiting ticket somemore!

All the dimsum that we had.
Especially love the egg custard pau (yellow color). Best eaten while hot.
Overall there are a lot of varities offered here. More than the Hong Kee which is just few rows away. Overall the dim sum here is good, very delicious...

I like the way this uncle enjoyed himself ~~~

Total damage - RM40++
WOW ~~

We had a few hours to kill before the dinner with siblings. Went to explore Solaris Mont Kiara, which is only 5 minutes from my condo. Manage to find Departure Lounge, which i had been reading from blogs.
Love this corner, many travel books for you to read while sipping coffee...

Latte and Hot Chocolate
Love the Illy coffee

Breakfast is their specialty, you can mix and match the breakfast according to your preference.
Next time shall try...

Some photo shooting...both too free...haha ~~~

Dinner was with siblings at Billion Restaurant, Jalan Ipoh

Reviews reviews everywhere ~~~

This restaurant is famous for "Hing Fa" 興化 dishes, which is from FuJian if i am not mistaken

Ordered their famous soup, something with tofu, minced meat, crab meat and etc.
Not bad

We went for brunch on Sunday at Sentul Lau Heong for their famous curry fish head...

Crispy chicken wing...yum yum

The superlicious yummylicious Curry Fish Head
Generous amount of ingredients like okra, brinjals and long beans, and of course fish head and i requested to include some fish meat.

Dinner @ Tokyo Restaurant

Fancy for some affordable, express, "tai-chow" style dinner? May i recommend you to Tokyo Restaurant @ Danau Kota, Setapak. For those staying around Setapak and Wangsa Maju, i think this restaurant is quite famous among the neighbourhood as it offers great tai-chow at a very affordable price. The dishes were served very quickly, i wonder how they are able to do it...
I went there on last Wednesday for dinner with Esther and Sheng. It has been very long since 3 of us have dinner together. We used to dine together, so that we could have some gossipping and some lovely heart-to-heart discussion. As they were progressing along well in the firm, we seldom have this kind of chance...(they are extremely busy :p) until we finally found such opportunity...

Started off with barley drink...release body heat...
I haven't started sipping this and the 1st dish arrived...

Steam Fei Chow fish with Spicy Sauce
I always love steam fish, and this spicy version definitely suit me the best!
Best go with rice..
The gravy was very well immersed with rightful amount of ingredients like ginger, chilis, onions, garlics and so on..
~~ Yum Yum ~~
Another favourite
Stir Fry Sweet Potato Leaf with Belacan
I always tend to order this whenever i dine outside since it is very troublesome to cook it at home...
This is good...enough of "wok-hei" and i like the generous amount of shrimp belacan mixed in!

Hot Plate Tofu
A bit of let down as it was not flavourful enough. Too much of the gravy making it seems a bit watery which we didn't like that much...but somehow the tofu tasted ok since japanese tofu was used...
Total damage - RM35.30
I think it's not too bad for 3 pax as the portion was rather large

I do not have the exact address, but this restraurant is nearby the Wangsa Maju KWSP, opposite a school....

Restoran Setapak Teochew

For those living around Setapak/Jalan Genting Klang/Wangsa Maju area, i believe you are able to notice this restaurant, which is situated along Jalan Pahang, opposite the abandoned Galleria, and near the famous ChoongHwa school.
I don't have much knowledge on their history but i know it has been existence for many many years. I have been visiting this restaurant for a few times with my bosses and colleagues since it is not far away from our office.

I like the pictures....so classic!

Visited here again on one fine Saturday...just before the lunch crowd

Their signature snack - Fried fish cake

Chewy....freshness guaranteed

Hokkien Mee

I guess they made the noodles themselves. Many of my colleagues heart this, this is our must-order dish.

But it has no enough "wok-hei" that i expected it to be...a bit let down compared to my previous visit. Different chef i guess...

Overall, it is still a satisfying Hokkien Mee, with rightful amount of flavour and the to-die-for pork lard @_@

This is the first time i ordered this

Steam White Pomphret with Beehoon

I think this is a traditional Teochew dish

I didn't see any trace of oil in this dish, and i love it very much! Very healthy dish, garnished with Teochew steam fish style of ingredients like tofu, preserved vege and tomatoes. The soup was very refreshing!

Drooling + Tempting = Satisfied!

Total damage for this lunch = Approximate RM45, mainly due to the steam fish beehoon i guess. Do try out their other signature dishes, like fried tapioca cakes, fried "white" beehoon and etc. I will definitely try their claypot fresh water prawn yeemee in next visit, cos i saw the patrons in other table ordered it and it looks so tempting!

By the way, they do sell some pastries too...check it out!
