My Farewell Treat (II)

CSU3 managers friend asked me out for my farewell treat on last Wednesday. I am very touched that all of them were there for me!!! I have known most of them since the first day i joined this firm, and really happy that they still remember me even though they are extremely busy with works and we are no longer in the same group!
We had lunch at Nippon Tei, KLCC last Wednesday. Not sure whether there were any big events in KLCC that day but we had problems in finding parkings. Parking is always an easy task in KLCC so this appeared weird to all of us....Nevertheless, back to my farewell treat ^_^

My order. Special Bento??
Can't remember the name, all i know is it came with many stuff!
It has octopus, grilled mackerel, tempura, salmon and tuna sashimi, salads and a type of fried/baked rice. While the other sides were up to my expectations, i was pleasantly surprised with the rice included. Not sure what rice was that but it has some shitake, ginkgo and some diced chicken, it left a very healthy feeling to me indeed...
I love this set! Li Chain and El had the same set with me...we have same taste ehh???

With Andy, El and Elaine

This is another set that 5 of the managers chosen...haha..
Beef Teriyaki/Teppanyaki set
I could smell a very strong teriyaki flavour...beefy ...and i supposed it was nice too..

With Ngiam Ngiam
Cheeerful as ever

With Kenji and Eric
Thanks Uncle Eric who is always busy and "anti-social" but spared some time for me...hehe...

With Elaine, Wai Yi
They were my neighbours in office before!

Love the set so much until i wanted to take a pict with it!

Awesome Jap lunch
Thanks so much guys!

Sushi Tei @ Tropicana City Mall

Sushi Tei is a Japanese chain restaurant from Singapore. First heard about it last year but only managed to try it today, to celebrate Wai Yee's birthday, 1 of my best buddy in KL....Some say its foods are so-so, some say excellent. Well, we'll see how it goes....

What they offered is pretty much the same with other Japanese chain, with a few "new" items that we never seen in other restaurant...at least they serve sea urchin here (which is very NOT affordable for me lah....haha....)

Hot Ocha for us 3

Birthday girl ^^

Salmon Carpaccio RM10.80
Seared salmon with soy sauce (or sesame?), topped with alfalfa
Very fresh. Like it very much...

Chicken Katsu Soba
While the soba tasted good with a very clear and sweet soup, the chicken katsu somehow let us down with its dryness. Prefer it to be more juicy...

Salmon belly sushi (at behind) RM6.00
Salmon roll with 3 kinds of different ebiko (forgot the price)
All i can say is good. Amazing.

Grilled scallop with mayonaise
The sauce has a hint of garlic, and it's pretty filling up the tummy after eating this. Some kind of "jelak". Ended up we ate the chicken katsu together with the sauce and it tasted pretty good too...

Grilled salmon with cod roe RM15.80
Thumbs up for this!
The salmon was not overly grilled, just perfect to be eaten together with the cod roe on top. Cod roe was smooth and silky enough, a perfect combination!
I am craving more for this!

Chawanmushi ordered by the birthday girl, which we found it just normal

We also ordered the Grilled squid which was giant in size. Not up to our expectation, still had it chewy-ness, but the teriyaki sauce provided was not enough leh...haha...

^^ Us ^^
Happy Birthday Wai Yee !

Hi Tea @ Jogoya

Was on my 1 month holiday break until early November....hehe....got to know that Jogoya is having a promotion for ladies, the second ladies only need to pay RM19.90++. So i drag Esther who is on holiday too to have our feast! We went during hi tea which is from 2pm to 4.20 pm. Altogether was only RM101, ie approx RM50 per pax. I think this is at a steal given the foods served that are the same with dinner time. I think i do not need to blog more about Jogoya anymore since many would have visited this famous buffet Japanese restaurant. Let's see what we had....

Thai coconut which is a must!

Oysters!

Assorted sashimi
I wallop a lot of salmon which i think it will costs more than RM50 if we had it outside...hehe...

Ebi Tempura
How can me miss this

We just love their assortment of desserts and the coffee
The cheese cake is great!

Haagen Dazs unlimited refill of ice cream!

Satisfied!
Worth every single cent!
Time for more exercise after the indulgence...haha....

My B'day Treat (I) - Sakae Sushi

My birthday treats from my friends and colleagues started since my birthday eve, and it continued until this week! Had been eating quite a lot for the whole week. Guess i am in deep need to shed some kilos after all the treats are finished! But i really had fun with the lovely people around me, celebrated with me. Being a foodie myself, i truly enjoyed the yummy-ness of all the nice foods! Yum Yum ^_^
Esther and Sheng treated me to a birthday dinner on my birthday eve, which was last week of Wednesday. We went to Sakae Sushi at KLCC, which i have frequented lately. This will be my third blog post on Sakae Sushi! Oh my god! I never thought that i will blog about the same restaurant in such a short period. Oh well, good food deserves frequent review i suppose :p
Let's see what we had that night....

These are the normal items that we (or rather me) would definitely order.
Promo under Citibank for handroll - Buy 1 free 1
Got ourself Unagi Temaki and Soft Shell Crab Temaki
Soft Shell Crab Temaki was as expected, but the Unagi Temaki turned me down. I only see Unagi skin wrapped in the roll, wonder where the meat goes...

Sakae Sushi is having a promotion on soft shell crab item. I can't remember the name of the above 2 items. But it's definitely something new to us, especially the sushi wrapped with seaweed and garnished with mango sauce.

^ Yum ^

Love this very much.

Sorry, really can't remember the name. It's beef slices wrapped with golden mushrooms with teriyaki sauce. Fancy the teriyaki sauce very much. Got the kick!

Tempura vege..good! Like the crispiness...

Jelly fish
Disappointed

Cold soba
Plain, but suits ladies who want to eat light...

Ramen with Mushrooms
A very healthy noodles, suits me and Esther who like mushrooms very much.
But still i find it a bit plain to my liking.

Sheng's favourite
Octopus
But i don't like the version served here

Mochi for 3 of us
I always see the mochi turning around the conveyor belt but i never want to grab it. Dono why i took it after we completed our main meal...probably i wanted something sweet to end my birthday dinner? ^_^
Thanks Darlings~~~
I had a very enjoyable dinner with both of you. I still remember what we kepo and gossip that night...couldn't stop laughing...keke...
Guess i don't need to explain where Sakae Sushi located again... =)
Happy Sushi everyone~~~

Nippon Tei @ KLCC

Was supposed to blog about my birthday celebration's lunches and dinners first but i feel to blog about this restaurant instead today.....

So me and Dan was at KLCC today. Bought him birthday lunch at Nippon Tei. Both of us were first time here, luckily their menu is very extensive with pictures in all the food and beverage items. Temptation ~~~

My order
Beef Sukiyaki SET - RM28
I like the way they present the beef slices, some looked half cooked.
At least you may choose to dip the beef into the soup if you want it to be well cooked. Otherwise, you may start to savour.
A pretty good Sukiyaki if you ask me. Generous amount of tong fun and vege included. Soup was very sweet, the way i like the Sukiyaki soup to be...

Dan's set
Teppanyaki Teriyaki set - RM34
REALLY YUMMY!
Beef was very tender too...
We both love the teriyaki sauce very much. Best go with white rice!

Each set comes with appetiser, white rice (which is rather big in portion), miso soup and fruits. Pricing is comparable with eg Kiku Zakura or other more high end Jap restaurant like Rakuzen. Quality is good if you ask me personally. Will look forward visiting here again in future...

Not my b'day celebration but i was the one snapping photo ^_^

Glad i found another great place for some Jap cuisine...
