My Farewell (VIII)

Another farewell dinner with my beloved colleagues. This round was with Jessica, Pauline and Yenn Yeen. They were extremely busy with the audit peak periods but still managed to spare out some time to bid farewell to me =)
We went to The Apartment Downtown @ KLCC for a quick dinner, since all of them need to be back to office again after that (this the life of audit professionals!)

The Apartment @ KLCC has 2 floors, with a built-in lift. We were arranged to sit at 2nd floor, with the KLCC fountains as our views. So romantic-nya....haha....
Drink selection wise, i found that it's just pretty normal.
So i ordered Lemonade, to quench the thirst and to wash down the HEAVY meal later...
Me with Pauline

Me with Jess and Yenn Yeen

This is their signature dish, but i forgotten the name
Clams served with breads
Quite a generous portion of clams being served
Fish and Chips!
The chips were nice!

Roasted chicken spaghetti

This is called "Jamie's Roasted Duck Fettucini"
destined for me to order this la....haha....
Very very flavourful and topped with some pine nuts.
A very huge serving, i had some difficulties in finishing it!

A group picture!
Thanks all for the treat!

My Farewell (VI)

I never have the chance to try out any decent western breakfast in KL, other than those normal dimsum, chinese-style, nasi lemak and etc. The most "western" kind was those buffet breakfast served in hotel...
My beloved boss (now ex-boss) was supposed to travel overseas on my last work day, so we went for a nice breakfast on a morning before he flew off. Had a long conversation. Talked about my journey past these years in the Firm, how i grew up, and some piece of advice...

What we had :
American Breakfast
Came with scrambled eggs, hash brown, sausages, shitake mushrooms, fruits and basket of breads (croissant, toast bread, muffin etc)
A wholesome goodness for the morning. What you see is a person's portion. Lucky we only ordered 1 portion for sharing =)
Thanks for the guidance that you have provided all these years. I shall remember what you have taught. I shall remember your charmness and i do want to let you know that you are one of the nicest person (employer) that i have known so far....
Thanks for Everything! And thanks for the breakfast!
By the way, we were at Nikko Hotel =)

My Farewell Treat (IV)

Friday came so fast, didn't have much breakfast in order to leave some space for 2 farewell treats in a day! Chose to have a casual lunch somewhere nearby office so we headed to Delicious at Dua Annexe, Jalan Tun Razak...
Frosty Lychee & Lime
Watermelon & Lychee Blast
and my Mango, Lychee & Kaffir Blast
I liked the mango and lychee combination, and they are generous enough to provide the ingredients. Very cooling and refreshing!

With Daniel
One of my many good friends in CH

With Connie
A very sporting and cheerful girl...

Garden greens with house dressing
Wild mushroom soup with garlic bread
These are orders made by Connie, already so slim still eat so little!!! Haha....
Anyway, i tried the mushroom soup before and really like it cos it's thick enough with loads of wild mushroom chunks..

Daniel's Duck Confit Spaghettini
Dan's favourite but a little small portion for him, so i shared half portion of mine to him =)

Marsala Lamb Shank with Nasi Pilaf, Cucumber Raita & Papadum
Lamb shank was braised to perfection, tender meat and juicy enough. Coupled with the aromatic pilaf rice (with some kind of nuts) and refreshing cucumber, it made the meal a wholesome goodness! It's a rather big portion, lucky i had Daniel to share it...haha...

We ended the meal with their signature
Chocolate Brownie with chocolate sauce & Vanilla ice-cream
Sinful enough yet we couldn't say no to this!

Thanks Connie and Daniel for the treat!
Miss you guys soon!

My Farewell Treat (I)

Today marks a final sunday for me before my last day on coming Thursday. I always have many things to think about every Sunday, and mostly related to works...I guess the life of working as an auditor for so many years have really left a great impact to me, both personal and work...

I have been receiving many lunch and dinner invites from my good friends in my firm. I have made a lot of good friends here, and i will never forget everyone....

My farewell treat started last Monday, never thought that the first meal treat would be the one organised by Hoh Yan =) We went to Full House nearby our office, together with Ricky, Emily and Sook Lai...

We were busy chatting and all i managed to snapped was the starter and the desserts!
Fail max!
Didn't capture the nice Main course of the Grilled Chicken and the Dory fish...

Thanks Ricky, Sook Lai, Emily and Hoh Yan for the wonderful lunch...
I enjoyed the gossip and chatting very much!

New York New York deli @ One Utama

Bumped into this restaurant while spending the quality time in One Utama. I know this eatery is quite famous down south but this was the first time i have seen in KL...We were eager to try it out mainly due to its attractive interior design....

Lemonade - RM6.50
Mushroom cappucino - RM6.90
Lemonade was good but prefer it to be a bit more citrus fizzy
Mushroom soup was so-so, tasted something like the one from can
Tower Onion Rings - RM7.50
I thought they would have served in tower design!
This was perfect, very crispy. The accompanied sauce tasted something like peanut butter though....

Cape-Style Fish & Chip - RM16.90
This is the most famous order of the restaurant but i personally found it to be average only
The outer layer was too thick albeit was real crispy, and the fish meat was not fresh in my humble opinion...
Oh ya, the salad and chips tasted much more better than the main....haha!

Juicy Burger Supreme - RM16.50
We wanted to order medium rare for the meat patty but the waiter told us they only do it well done!
So the burger came out to be unsatisfactorily done!
We were definitely not satiafied with what was served but eventually still finish it la.....
Thumbs up to the fries anyway...haha!!!

Any second chance? I bet so for the short period...

Credit should be given to the outlet manager though, as we have complained to him on the doubt that we had on the food that we intended to order. Apparently he explained to us politely and gently on the specific reason and i was satisfied....
I wonder how the Singapore version taste like ~~~

Fullhouse @ Jalan Yap Kwan Seng

First heard about Fullhouse Lifestyle Store and Cafe many months back. First outlet located at Ara Damansara, a place which is very crowded in my opinion....It has opened another outlet near my office at Jalan Yap Kwan Seng opposite the Old Town kopitiam. Not sure whether this is a new outlet or the first one in Ara Damansara is closed?????

Was very eager to try it out after knowing it has opened its door during end of November 2009. Not many people know it has opened by then so visitors were lesser...Fullhouse is famous for its cosy and "white-y" ambience...something like fairy tale....and i like it's environment which is very ideal for some chit-chat and get-together....

Was there with Sheng for dinner, both of us decided to have a light meal so we were sharing these...
Mushroom soup - RM8.90
Very rich in flavour and i like the strong hints of mushroom, it would be better if the soup is thicker!

Lavender Lemon Blended - RM6.90
Honey Milk Ice - RM5.90
The lavender lemon blended was very appetising, but a bit too sweet for me though....

Rome Salad - RM12.90
Crunchy salad with smoked salmon, but we felt that the salmon slice portion given was way too stingy...haha....

Club Sandwich - RM13.90
Toasted sliced bread with cheese, ham, vege and chicken strips
Quite a filling sandwich
Paid another visit here again for lunch with my other team member, opted to try their set lunch which range from RM13.90 - RM18.90, comes with mushroom soup, ice lemon tea, a main course and pastry....A very filling set lunch if you ask me!!!

Honestly their ice lemon tea was very very nice! And big glass too!

1 of the main course
Spaghetti......can't remember the name
A bit watery but tasted fine...no complain from TW

Another main course
Something cooked with dory fish
accompanied by mashed potato and some wild mushroom
Love the gravy very much...very gingery...
Dory fish was fresh and aromatic too....

The desserts - small pieces of cakes
We got macha, blueberry, chocolate and mango mousse
Not too bad but we were a bit too full to indulge on this....

It does provide car jockey service due to limited parking space available. FOC during opening period but not sure whether they will impose charges in future.... I am sure this place will become another favourite hang out place for our office mate ~~

My B'day treat (IV) - Bubba Gump Shrimp Co.

So my birthday treat continued on the next day on Friday. Had a date with my bunch of JiMuis which i have known since school times. Time flies~~~~

We had dinner at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. at The Curve. The restaurant occupies 2 floors, with a souvenir shop at the side. Loads of Forrest Gump memorabilia is displayed on the walls, tables and everywhere else. There are also some Jacob crackers on the table for you to snack while waiting for your food. But don't fill up too much on the crackers as the food portions are huge!

Few rules here to make your dining experience a unique one. There are 2 plates for you to show on the table:

Show this if you do not want anyone to interrupt your meal

Show this if you want the waiters/waitress to stop

If i ever wallop the whole thing on the table??....no eye see
So let's put some reviews on the orders that we made!

Strawberry Lemonade - like the tanginess feel
Blueberry Smoothies - tasted like yoghurt drink which was real fruity!
Mango Sparkler - normal mango drink
Onion Rings
So gigantic! Like the way they presented it!
The best version of onion ring i ever tried. Very nice indeed...

Salmon and vege Skillet
Grilled salmon and fresh vege with garlic herbs butter, served with jasmine rice
Flavourful rice with a taste of sourness...we like it.

Some kind of baked rice, can't remember the name
This is real additive, due to its creamy and cheesy flavour.
You just want to dig and dig the rice, regardless of how fattening it is..haha...

What's the point dining in Bubba Gump without ordering shrimp?
We got the Shrimper's Heaven, a combination of 4 types of shrimps
Tempura shrimp, Coconut Shrimp, Chilly Shrimp (chilled boiled) and Fried Shrimp
Whatever the version is, we truly enjoy this platter
Comes with coleslaw and fries, and some dipping which goes really well with the shrimps

Run Across American Sampler
Some of the assortment was hidden..sorry o
Tortilla chips with dips, Chilly shrimp, Fried shrimp and Spicy Chicken Strips
A rather good platter for sharing, we couldn't stop munching on the tortilla chips!

So it was my birthday, got to do some show in front of all the patrons!
I wonder how did i manage to perform such that day?
Got to shake my booty somemore....phew~~~~

Candle blowing time!!

Thanks my dearest JiMuis for this dinner celebration!
I heart the lovely cupcakes too!
We missed PeiYee who couldn't make it last minute but we will look forward for the next birthday celebration!

The cousins!

We were amazed on how the waiters here balance cups of water… well if you go there, get your whole table to order ice water and see how the waiter brings you the cups =). This is not the place for those who is watching their weight or cholesterol level since most of the foods are fried and high in carb. Prices are a bit high in my view, not super high but high enough to make you feel the pinch. Anyway, it's definitely a great place to try if you have not been here, and it's great place for some gathering with your buddies too...

Birthday girl had a blast @ Bubba Gump
XOXO

A final photo with the gang..all pretty ladies ehh? ^_^
Advertised for Bubba Gump for free..hehe...
