Daorae Korean Restaurant

Had a good Korean dinner with my good friend last Monday. Am travelling to Korea soon so has started to crave for Korean cuisine...haha... We headed to Daorae Korean BBQ Restaurant in Kepong, a Korean restaurant chain that has a few branches in KL and PJ....

Has a wide selection of BBQ items

Very thick soup, laden with generous amount of ingredients such as vege and tofu.

Always heart this soup. My must order everytime i go Korean restaurant

Very tender and juicy, well marinated.

Wrap it together with the lettuce that is served complimentary, and dip into the accompanied sauce....Yummy ~~~~

~ A letter ~

Received a letter from the child that i am sponsoring in Shelter Home. Time flies. It has been about a year since i started sponsoring her, apart from the first one that i am sponsoring via World Vision. Life has been so hectic and i almost forgotten i am in child sponsorship programme, until i receive the letter written by the girl herself to me.....

It's good knowing that she is healthy and is progressing well. Probably need to plan to visit her someday.

Lucky 28

Life has been good being 28 years old. Having been working for almost 6-7 years since graduated, my career has been progressively well. I am lucky to have joined a firm (although is not the big 4) that has a good working environment. A place that allows me to learn and grow. What is more important, i am lucky to have met good bosses. Bosses that always provide rooms for improvement to the employees. Bosses that never feed you, instead they guide you along and let you understand by yourself. This has made myself a more confident person, as compared to what i thought i am....

I wouldn't say that i am a perfect staff. I wouldn't say that i am loyal. I am just an ordinary employee, working in a firm, meeting the required deadlines and etc. Audit life is a hell to some people. I agree, but it sometimes depends on what you are looking at. If you wanted to learn while you still young and energetic, audit is a good place to train yourself.

I am a very shy person previously. I never have the gut to talk confidently to strangers. I never have the gut to give presentation in front of many people. I always need to seek second opinion from other people when i make decision, even though i know that my solution is already correct. Having said that, everything has changed now. Presentation to clients is normal now. I even have the confident to provide training, and also providing solutions on the spot to clients. All this has been gained from the firm that i have worked for more than 5 years. I am in the 6th year working in the firm...Ups and downs. Big jobs small jobs. You will never stop learning from audit line. It keeps changing....

I have earned many valuable experience. I have learned a lot of things. I have experienced different kind of situations. I have met different level of people, not to mention those people that is really fussy and real bugger. I am satisfied with my current progress. But i have never imagined myself carrying such a serious title - Senior Manager. Am officially carrying this title from this month onwards.... A big thank you for all my beloved bosses! And also my peers and team members in the firm!

I never thought that i will be in this industry for so many years. It has never been my first preference. I am also not sure why i am still here, after seeing so many of my peers leaving the industry one by one. Probably no idea where to go, or probably no any factor to push me to leave....

Meeting the special one who is residing in the neighbouring country was a bless to me. Will i leave to be with him? Am seriously considering the possibility to move over there, if opportunity arise or given. Things may not be the same anymore if i am leaving my current firm. Bosses have seriously asking me to reconsider. Hmm...what should i do?

Good news is, i am enjoying my 1 month break now! Haha....few travelling plans going on. Am seriously need this break to "recharge" myself, to relax, and to think of the next move for myself.

To go, or not to go? So hard to decide la ~~~~

~~ Wedding made in the Sky ~~

Attended the wedding of my ex colleague, Kim Fatt with his lovely wife, Mee Sim. The venue of the wedding is special, at KL Tower. I have been staying in KL for so long but i have never visited this icon of our city...never imagined myself visiting this tower via a wedding....haha...

Oh well, i found that the wedding organised here is pretty romantic ehh. Wedding made in the sky ~~~~ Love this idea....They even have the mineral water in "KL Tower bottle". Everyone brought home as a souvenir...

Wedding is always a good place to catch up with old buddies and friends. Snapped some pictures as a memory~~~~

Italian affair @ Buonasera, SS2

Mie is back! After being hiatus for almost 2 months (blame the corporate exercise in China!!!), i am now back writing my beloved blog! Miss the time writing my feelings and comments in my sweet lovely blog...haha....

The special one was in town yesterday, spending the Mid Autumn festival with me ^_^ We also decided to have a lovely yet simple dinner to celebrate my recent promotion ^_^

So we headed to Buonasera, a neighbourhood italian restaurant located @ SS2. I have read about the good review of this restaurant from bloggers and decided to give it a try. The chef used to work with Pizza Uno (which i like very much too but didn't manage to visit anymore since few years back....) and is also running some cooking classes at The Cooking House.

We started off with 3 mushroom soup - RM9.90

I wasn't too impressed as i personally favour a thicker version of mushroom soup. This came out to be a bit plain to my liking, but he liked it much. Nevertheless, it still tasted good, just a bit watery...

Prosciutto Melon - RM29.90

Thin dry-cured ham paired with sweet & ripe melon wedges

Penne Boscaiola - RM28.90

A very generous portion of pasta with mushrooms and pork.

I'm not normally a big fan of cream sauce, but i must say that i really enjoyed this dish. Just very sumptuous and flavourful ~~~

All Pescatore pizza - RM37.90

A seafood pizza, thin layer of crust and yet not hard at all. Proven that the pizza base is really freshly made. Expect some squid, large shrimp and even oyster on this pizza. Topped with italian tomato sauce, it makes you yearn for more !

Oh by the way, this is a large pizza and we managed to wallop it all....hehe..

My all time favourite - Tiramisu - RM16.90

Served in a cocktail glass, i really enjoyed this to the fullest.

Generous portion of mascarpone and some hint of alcohol, GOOD!

Too full from all the mains, he couldn't stuff in the desserts anymore.

Ended i finish this on my own...GUILTY!

I'm rather impressed by the quality and the selection of foods here, not to mention it's mid range pricing. If you are craving for some home cooked and authentic italian dishes, this would be the place i recommend. Oh yes, they are non-halal, use extra virgin olive oil and no MSG!

Need some break...

There are times when a person just wish to hide herself and think about her personal things. Too many things happened lately and the pressure reached the peak level. She just couldn't take it anymore. A love letter being pesented to the bosses, but they were asking her to reconsider. A break was granted, just a matter of time. She needs the break dearly to consider her future career path and some personal matters. Please grant her some time. She will come back strong as she is...again....

3 weeks being away from home. Today finally reached KL. Phew~~~ Please no more next time...haha !
