This is among the famous dimsum place around Jalan Ipoh. We went there on Labour day and it was packed! And many people were waiting for tables! So we ended up eating others on that day. But we decided to give a try again today and we were lucky to get a table, although it was still full with patrons. It was indeed around 1 pm.....
~~ LohMaiKai ~~
The glutinous rice is very flavourful and it's not hard. Each bite of the lohmaikai makes you crave for more...i am serious! The taste of this lohmaikai is very yummy and i couldn't find a similar version in other eateries. The secret recipe has all been absorbed into the glutinous rice and makes this lohmaikai so wonderfully delicious!
By the way, the chicken is not tender but it's still OK la.....
Hand made fish dumplings...口感很棒
I didn't try this, should be nice
the sauce is okok only...
This is awesome! Whole shrimp stuffed with meat dumplings. Love it...
Bro ate this, i think is average...
I don't like the texture
Good, but the brinjal was cooked till quite lembik...
Actually, there is only less than 5 dimsum that we like about this place. The rest of the dimsum are not to our liking. I like the lohmaikai, fish dumplings, prawn dumplings, and some other foods that sold out today eg: HongKong style cheong fun and century egg porridge. We felt the dimsums are not as good as other dimsum place, honestly......
Anyway, as it is just a mere 5 minutes drive from my condo, so it's a very good place for breakfast or light lunch....and it opens till late night too....good place for supper though...
The shop is located at the main road of Jalan Ipoh, diagonally opposite the Public Bank, same row with Kings Confectionery.
