Italian affair @ Buonasera, SS2

Mie is back! After being hiatus for almost 2 months (blame the corporate exercise in China!!!), i am now back writing my beloved blog! Miss the time writing my feelings and comments in my sweet lovely blog...haha....
The special one was in town yesterday, spending the Mid Autumn festival with me ^_^ We also decided to have a lovely yet simple dinner to celebrate my recent promotion ^_^
So we headed to Buonasera, a neighbourhood italian restaurant located @ SS2. I have read about the good review of this restaurant from bloggers and decided to give it a try. The chef used to work with Pizza Uno (which i like very much too but didn't manage to visit anymore since few years back....) and is also running some cooking classes at The Cooking House.

We started off with 3 mushroom soup - RM9.90
I wasn't too impressed as i personally favour a thicker version of mushroom soup. This came out to be a bit plain to my liking, but he liked it much. Nevertheless, it still tasted good, just a bit watery...

Prosciutto Melon - RM29.90
Thin dry-cured ham paired with sweet & ripe melon wedges
Juicy!
Fantastic combination!
This is actually the main reason why i wanted to visit this restaurant...

Penne Boscaiola - RM28.90
A very generous portion of pasta with mushrooms and pork.
I'm not normally a big fan of cream sauce, but i must say that i really enjoyed this dish. Just very sumptuous and flavourful ~~~

All Pescatore pizza - RM37.90
A seafood pizza, thin layer of crust and yet not hard at all. Proven that the pizza base is really freshly made. Expect some squid, large shrimp and even oyster on this pizza. Topped with italian tomato sauce, it makes you yearn for more !
Oh by the way, this is a large pizza and we managed to wallop it all....hehe..

My all time favourite - Tiramisu - RM16.90
Served in a cocktail glass, i really enjoyed this to the fullest.
Generous portion of mascarpone and some hint of alcohol, GOOD!
Too full from all the mains, he couldn't stuff in the desserts anymore.
Ended i finish this on my own...GUILTY!

I'm rather impressed by the quality and the selection of foods here, not to mention it's mid range pricing. If you are craving for some home cooked and authentic italian dishes, this would be the place i recommend. Oh yes, they are non-halal, use extra virgin olive oil and no MSG!

Babe's bday celebration @ Bella Italia

We have a few Jimui whose birthday falls in July. Why July is such a productive month ah??? Having no idea where to celebrate, i suggested Bella Italia @ SS2 which i blog before, and they agreed since i kept on saying it's a very lovely and homey Italian restaurant, and most of them never visited there before....

Birthday girl I
Lily with her beloved husband, Chee Loong (i hope i spell it correct :P)

Birthday girl II
Meagan (Left) with Charmaine

Birthday girl III
Regene with Mie
The cousins always end up sitting together..haha...

Regene, Mie, Satine

Ok, let's see what we had on that night....We got everyone to order 1 dish each, ended up our table was so full with foods ~~~~

Mushroom soup which i strongly recommended, and they gave thumbs up too...

Forgot the name of this soup, something with italian name

A kind of seafood soup which looked like tomyam. Like the tanginess and the generous amount of seafood, expect mussels, lala, squid, prawn and so on.....

We love this very much
Fried button mushroom
Crispy on the outside. Like the accompanied salad sauce too...

Their signature pizza
Thin crust pizza, a bit dry in my opinion.

Seafood lasagna
Like the cheesiness!!!

Salmon fettucini/linguini
Awesome! Very nice...

This is spaghetti with fried chicken strips
A bit spicy, and the sauce is a bit watery. Quite flavourful though, but the chicken strip was way bit a lil hard...

My all time favourite
Lamb Shank
Lamb was cooked perfectly well, very tender...
We love the sauce too...next time must get some garlic bread to go with!
Portion is a bit too much for 1 person, but we were sharing...

Grilled Salmon
Normal, but well marinated though....

Some kind of beef fillets
Very juicy and tender, yum yum!

The Spread
All were so full!

~ Us ~
Merry Merry birthday to 3 lovely ladies

We were full but still have a little room for lovely desserts...hehe...
Just can't resist the temptation of their TIRAMISU !!
We then wanted to adjourn to Murni which is just next door but couldn't find any empty table, although the number of tables has spread across row of shops! So we ended up to Leo's cafe, where Yoon Li joined us and we hang around..... Till we fix another gathering again my lovely Jimuis!

Pizzeria Bella Italia @ SS2

Pizzeria Bella Italia was introduced by my ex colleague who stayed in SS2 previously. It offers an affordable Italian cuisine with pretty good ambience and high quality of food. It has been very long since i last visited, i think is more than 2 years. I suddenly reminded of this restaurant last Friday and visited it for dinner....

I like their ambience which feels so homely.
Simple setup, that's all you need to enjoy your food.

Lime juice and Chocolate Milk Shake

Mushroom soup
Generous tiny chunk of mushroom. Creamy but not watery.
GOOD
I like the aroma ~~~

Spaghetti Carbonara
Creamy sauce with good quality of beef bacon + button mushroom
Yummy to the fullest
I managed to order the best dish for someone...hehe...

Beef Lasagna
Lotsa cheese...so cheeeeeessy
We both like the shredded beef sauce
Definitely suit cheese lover
Another temptation which attracts me here
TIRAMISU
This is non alcohol version
I kept on indulge in this and ended up being laughed by someone...
Definitely am able to finish it by myself, but the guilty feeling made me stop from finishing it to the last bite...haha....
Trust me. It's extremely good. I have no other word to describe it. Moreover, it's only priced at RM7.90!

It is located at the same row as the Murni mamak in SS2, a few doors away from Public Bank and beside a pet shop

61, Jalan SS 2/75,47300 Petaling Jaya

Business hour: 11 am - 10 pm

You may try this restaurant if you are craving for Italian cuisine at an affordable price. Happy Italian!
