~ Bali Vacation ~

I miss Bali for many reasons....

White sandy beach @ Kuta
with views of bikini ladies and charming surfers :P

Plentiful of local handicrafts and dresses at reasonable price @ Ubud market
You gotta show your bargaining power skill !!

Local heritage site eg Tanah Lot and Uluwatu
Places of interest that you wish to step into.... You will be amazed with the scenery...

Beach just a stroll away from the resort we stayed
Good place for lazy bum!

Awesome sunset view

Grab your favourite t-shirts!
I saw every "gwai-lou" wearing the Bintang singlet!
Apart from sightseeing and beach "sun-burning", we also tried out some local foods and other cuisines offered in Bali....

The famous Made's Warong which is so hit among floggers. It offers both local Bali cuisines and western foods...

Our first beer in Bali
No one has come to Bali without trying the local Bintang beer.....

We had Gado-gado
Similar to Msia version of rojak. The peanut gravy is thicker and loaded with peanuts
A bit at the drier side, but overall fit my expectation....

Pork Satay!
Juicy and succulent but would prefer it slightly burnt

Nasi Campur special
Basically is like "chap-fan" in balinese style...some of the side dishes were great but some were not..
Average
I think the Bumbu Bali in Puchong serves a better version..haha....

Dinner is at this restaurant which is situated along Kuta street
Specialised in local duck cuisine
Another Bali specialties - Bebek Kunyit
Deep fried crispy duck
Really crispy..and it's fried to perfection too
I like the side dishes too...which is something like kangkung belacan
The accompanied local salad was a bit way too raw to my liking by the way....

Bebek Kuah Gerang Asem
Stewed duck in gerang asem spices
Not sure what is gerang asem but it tasted good! Something different as compared to our normal chinese way of cooking duck.... The soup tasted slurpingly sweet too....

Very filling breakfast from Bali Dynasty Resort
I miss their pancake very much!

How can we miss the famous Ibu Oka Babi Guling @ Ubud
Crispy pork skin, soft flesh...comes with intestine roll...
I personally found this dish to be nothing extraordinary but it would definitely fit to be a must-try food in Bali due to its name "Babi Guling" - like the pig is being "guling guling"....haha...
Well, overall it's still a pretty decent dish worth a try....

Sunset dinner at Jimbaran
Every friend i asked about Jimbaran, they will say "Go one time enough already!"
Oh well, i have the same idea too...
The seafood dish is overpriced and nothing spectacular, normal grilled stuff....but people is flocking there (especially first timer) just for the sake of experiencing the nice environment....
As i mentioned, 1 time with your dear one is really enough...don't think you want to burn a hole in your pocket for the second time unless you are willing to do so!

Our last dinner opposite the place we stayed
Nice pizza, but the crust was a little bit of letdown la....
Thumbs up for the salmon fettucini though ~~~

Bali is a paradise if you ask me....there is so many more for us to explore. We will definitely be back soon!
