Stall that i have been visiting for more than 20 years....

Do you have a particular stall or shop, which you start visiting since childhood, and the people and foods of the particular stall are still the same as many years back?
Well, i have. I have been visiting this stall since i was a small kid. I think it has been more than 20 years ... wah..time flies~~~~
Tell you what. They never change! Why? See the following....
1) the quality is still as good as before
2) they still insist to use charcoal to cook after so many years
3) they are still operating in stall, even though all of us know that the boss is earning as much as a restaurant owner
4) they have a loyal waitress who has been helping them for many years. Seriously, i saw her 20 years ago and now she is still working here. I think she deserves the most loyal employee award =)
And you know what is the most torturing part that they never change? THE WAITING TIME!!!

There were damn many customers on Friday night. Particularly due to the fact many came back for Ching Ming session, like what me and my 2 bros did. You only see a few tables here, there are a lot more seated outside the stall ...

This is the uncle doing the stunt =)
I see him from being black hair to white hair... Ages...sob sob....
As you can see, they only have a small open kitchen and a small place serving the drinks/some preparation/keeping cutleries. The GOOD food do not need a fancy environment to match it anyway...

Wait, wait, wait...we ended up waiting approx 45 minutes for our turn. This is a norm here. If you can't wait, better don't go...

And at last.....after our stomach making some loud pop music...

Hokkien Fried Mee
Do you see the sinful 猪肉渣 on top? Hello cholestrol!!!
Enough of "wok-hei", and the home-made yellow noodles made this dish even more delicious.
I dono how to further describe this anymore, you better try it yourself =)

My favourite - Loh Mee
I heart the soup, which is cooked in generous amount of eggs. I can just take the soup without the noodles...hehe...

the best evidence of how tasty is the Loh Mee ^_^

the legendary Beehoon in Pepper hot soup
They call it "Ba-Ki", which means pepper soup with porks in Hokkien.
The uncle sourced the pepper from Sarawak and he used it when cooking this. And the results, a flavourful pepper soup, with starchy pork...in a hot piping pepper soup! You will see generous amount of pepper at the bottom of the bowl by the time you finish wallop this...
I can't seem to find similar dish in KL. This make the stall even more famous with KL people who will visit it often, since it is only 45 minutes drive from the city to reach here...

Cantonese style Yin Yong.
The sauce is very flavourful with generous amount of egg starch, served with the crunchy fried beehoon..it is just awesome.
Also, i can't find this in any Taichow stall in KL. They either made the beehoon very soft or they made the sauce very watery...i still heart this at my own hometown..

We also ordered the fried cabbage with dried shrimp. This is the only vege dish that they serve. Certain amount of chinese wine is mixed and it makes the dish even more delicious....

~~ All foods are priced at RM8 per plate ~~
This stall is only a 3 minutes drive after Tanjong Malim toll. If you are interested to go there, please do not hesitate to call me for direction. I have been eating it for more than 20 years and i bet you sure like it...

Let's pampered by BaoBao

My passion to pan mee is no longer a secret to my close friends. I really don't know why i love this local food so much. Maybe it's due to the starchy feel that i can't find in other type of noodles. I will definitely try out any new pan mee shop that i able to locate. I am also a huge fans of the famous Kin Kin Chilly Pan Mee .... Nevertheless, i still find the traditional pan mee served in soup is still the best way to enjoy this delicacy...
I have a few favourite pan mee shop. I recently discovered this shop in Aman Suria - Bao-Bao, which sells pan mee specialty. They have a few branches and 1 of them is here...

FwuSheng was my lunch mate again this round after we met a client at Dataran Prima. As usual, i would request to go here for lunch, and of course he agreed =)

It was still early by the time we reached, but the crowds came together a few minutes later. We were lucky...haha

We gotta tick the order ourself and pass to the waiters....

They offer 4-5 types of pan mee, and i always stick to the traditional pan mee...you will know why later...

Chillies!!! Pan mee is best accompanied by the special condiments, as seen in the pict - right lower corner. A combination of chillie, belacan and mixed with some sour sauce. Truly the best. They also sell this chillie in bottle at RM4.90 each...

We both ordered honey lemon juice - RM3.00

Sayur Mani - RM1.50
This is a side order. We both like this vege very much. Normally we only got to eat this vege when we eat pan mee cos it's cooked together. But we wanna have extra so ....hehe...

Sheng's order - Dry pan mee - RM5.50 (Large)
Served with some char-siew. No complain from him so i guess it's good...

My favourite! Traditional style pan mee - RM4.80
Generous chunks of shredded pork, anchovies, mushrooms, sayur mani...served with chewable hand-torn pan mee, in a very tasty soup. I give 4/5...short of 1 is for improvement...haha...
This is quite filling and i couldn't finish it actually...

I have ordered extra egg to go with it...i somehow like my soup to mix with egg =)

Another side order - Shredded pork balls - 浆爆猪肉丸 - RM2.80
If you remember Stephen Chow's movie, you would be reminded of the scenes on how they eat this balls...hehe...
there were some shredded pork stuffed inside the ball, and beware when you eat as the stuffing is piping hot. You wouldn't like the feel of the hot sauce hurting your taste bud...

Satisfying meal... Burpp~~~~~~
I wanna visit there again ^_^

Dear readers, do suggest if you know any nice shop selling good pan mee. I would love to try it out ya.....

It's Delicious...

It is Tracy's birthday today so we decided to buy her birthday lunch. Cracking head where to go for lunch and we finally decided to have a Delicious lunch....Many of us have heard of it before but never try the food (including me who never try their main course) so we think this restaurant would be a rather good choice.

We headed to the restaurant at Marc Service Residence which is just a mere less than 5 minutes of the journey from our office....

Clear distinguish between smoking area and non smoking area

The ambience of the restaurant and it was packed during lunch. Luckily we made prior reservation...

Difficult task again ><

B'day girl on the left...

Some photo snapping before our meals arrived....

Let's get some Delicious stuff!!

Mediterranean Chicken Salad with Balsamic Leaves - RM22.90
consist of chunks of chicken, balsamic leaves, onions, nuts, cucumber, pepper, garnished with olive oil...
did not put high expectation on this dish but it turned out to be awesomely fresh and Delicious! I just love the feeling of eating the mix of fresh stuff together with the olive oil...phew~~~

Macchiato - RM7.90

Tall Latte - RM9.90
Very nicely done...

Frosty Lemon Tea - RM9.90
Homemade Ginger Beer - RM8.90
I had high expectation on the ginger beer since it stated as homemade, but it turned out to be a lil disappointing. I didnt really feel the taste of ginger. And you could imagine i didn't finish it...

Hot Honey Lemon Tea - RM5.90
I like the way they separate the honey so we can choose the level of sweetness

Wow! The sotong is calling you!
Spicy Seafood Spaghetti - RM24.90
Ju has finished it so i guess it tasted not bad

Duck Confit Pasta - RM24.90
Well above our expectation. Generous chunks of duck confit. We noticed that they put in some dried chillis so the taste is a bit fiery though...

Spaghetti Carbonara - RM22.90
Beth's said this is her favourite. No complain from her so i guess it was OK...

My order - Smoked Salmon Angelhair Pasta - RM26.90
Can you see the caviar garnished on top? ^_^
If you see something that consist of 2 of your favourite food in one course, would you order it? Well, i would....
I love angelhair pasta cos it is slightly tiny compared to spaghetti, and it goes well with the smoked salmon. And i love salmon cos it is rich in omega and not fattening...
Overall, i was satisfied with this dish...

Cheese Macaroni - RM21.90
Didn't get to try out this but i heard it's rich in cheese. So sinful!

Fish & Chips - RM28.90
Comes in 3 pieces and some tartar sauce.
Some of them couldn't finish it though..haha

Let's go for some desserts. Have heard of their sinfully Delicious desserts before so we headed to the cake counter to choose...

My eyes drooling lo....duno when i can i finish trying all of it @_@

B'day girl with her cakes...

Tiramisu - RM12.90
I always love tiramisu served in a glass. Still prefer those with some alcohol dash...hehe

Sam strongly recommended this
Mango Cheesecake - RM12.90
Very damn rich of mango flavours and it is definitely a good choice for mango lovers...and the mango taste has somehow covered the rich cheese flavour and i found it yummy!

~ B'day girl with her JiMuis ~

Hmm..i would love to try out their hi-tea set. Anyone interested?

They have some kind of promo where we only need to drop our name card. I guess they will just do lucky draw. See my card? Pray hard for me so i will tag you along if i get chosen! Haha....

Overall it was a good lunch session in a very nice environment. We were seated at the long sofas. I think i would visit there again for some lazy afternoon tea time.....
