My Farewell Treat (V)

Friday night, a super jam night after heavy downpour around 4-5 pm. Finished my work and waited for Kim Nyean to come back to office. Straight away headed to Pavilion for our dinner ... already almost 8pm...
I chose to have dinner at Ying Ker Lou, where they have opened new branches in Pavilion and the Gardens. A restaurant specialing in hakka cuisine, always a place that i wanted to try but never step in...

We ordered green tea
It came with a very unique pot with 2 small chinese cups. Very refreshing cos it's not a tea bag, real green tea leaves were used here...
By the way the tea pot was very very heavy...
Me at China ^_^
I had a WonderFULLL dinner here so let's see what we ordered...

Hakka Braised Pork with Black fungus with noodles
Noodles were springy enough. I had a small piece of the pork and found it a bit dry, nevertheless it's still flavourful with the "Nam Yue" taste...And i like the black fungus :)

Ginger egg with chinese yellow wine 黄酒姜蛋
Very strong taste of wine and i like they way they fried the egg, not dry and soft enough.... best eaten with rice and very appetising..
客家算盘子
This is a rather special dish that is already seldom seen being sold in town. It requires a lot of effort to cook this, that's why the serving is pretty small given its price...
Made from yam, and this was the dish that we liked the most cos it's very Q and full of wok-hei...

Hakka Lei-Cha with Brown rice
This turned out to be my favourite dish, i liked the freshness and healthy feeling after eating this. Some people couldn't stand the "green" taste (eg Kim Nyean..hehe..) but i like it so much....
However, we ordered too much (i should say HE ordered too much :P) and i didn't manage to finish this awesome dish...
What a waste!
Another of their recommended dish
A kind of tofu with fish paste on top...
Not too bad...

A table full of goodness for only 2 of us

Thanks Kim Nyean for the treat!
I will never forget this WonderFull dining experience! Haha...
