Yong Tau Foo @ Jalan Ipoh

It's weekend again. Me and brothers were heading back hometown. We had a quick lunch @ Ipoh Road Yong Tau Foo before leaving the city. This shop is only a mere 5 minutes from our condo. Really just a turn and we were there for lunch already....
Not the 1st time of us having meal there. So we know what to order.......

"KamKat" juice and Herbal tea
Aihh, herbal tea was tasteless, like drinking plain water.....
Anyway the main attraction is not the drinks...

Our orders - YongTauFoo
Frankly, i still heart the YTF in Ampang. But these served at Ipoh Road was not too bad. We can still expect fresh ingredients used and the fish paste stuffed is also not too hard to chew. Overall, the YTF is OK.....

Oh i need to comment on these - Fried SuiKow and Fried FooChok.
Got the "kick". I think the Fried FooChok is the main dish attraction here. It is very crispy on the outside and the stuffing is also good. I have friends visiting here just for the Fried FooChok, so you can imagine why....

We also ordered Rojak - RM5
Sold by a small counter just outside the shop.
This is very good, thick rojak sauce and generous amount of peanuts. They do put some YaoCharKwai inside, which we seldom see nowadays.
But the portion is a bit small, at the price of RM5.

Tauhu Bakar - RM3 for 2 pieces
Also sold by the same counter selling rojak.
Average. They used the same rojak paste anyway....

~~ Now you see it ~~

Now you don't!

Price list

The stall selling the rojak, and you can notice they are selling the "kacang rebus" and rojak paste as well....

We also tapao some pastries home...see the yummylicious "ChanBao", bun stuffed with CharSiew. Really yummy...fluffy bread!

Got some SiewPao home also...this is actually a franchise for the famous "KeeMee" siewpao in Seremban. And yes, the taste is comparable.....

Some other pastries sold....price is reasonable....

I do not have the exact address but the shop is very easy to be located. If you are from KL direction heading towards Selayang, turn 3 o'clock into Jalan Ipoh at the Segambut roundabout. Go straight until you see a traffic lamp. Keep left after the traffic lamp, slowly, and you will see an old bungalow (yellow colour if i am not mistaken), with a very obvious signboard stating "Ipoh Road Yong Tau Foo", at your left hand side. Parking is ample inside the area, but do expect crowd during lunch time.
Want some healthy stuff? Head for YongTau Foo!
