Kampachi Japanese Restaurant @ Pavillion KL

It has always been a challenge whenever we gonna plan for b'day dinner, especially if it falls on a working day (not Friday). We have to consider the location, price, ambience, etc etc etc.... not easy leh. Nat asked me a few places to consider for El's and Elain's b'day so that she could get the 2 b'day girls to choose. I suggested Kampachi Pavillion..and that's what they chosen :-)

This was my 2nd time visiting Kampachi Pavillion. As the second oldest Japanese restaurant in Malaysia, Kampachi has never failed to keep up with their reputation, especially the legendary Sunday brunch buffet in Kampachi Equotarial Hotel (their 1st outlet) that strike a perfect balance between value and quality. I have always wanted to try out the sunday brunch but no kaki lo.......

We had problem in selecting our dinner sets. I guess all of us felt to try out all in the menu as the pictures presented made our saliva dripping....gulp!

Shoyu served in a nice bottle. All diners ordered Macha as drinks @ RM2 each...

All the set dinner comes in a tray, which serves appetiser, chawanmushi, Miso soup, the main course, rice and fruit.

Tempura set - RM35

Chirashi Set Udon - RM45
It has sashimi platter, Ebi Tempura and Udon. I found that Li Chain always order this in any Jap restaurant that we visit ;)

Soft Kani Maki - RM42.

Maki with soft shell crab. Ed's order, which i found he likes to order this often. My favourite too.

Tempura Udon - RM28

Nat & Darren already half eaten this by the time i snap the pict.

Gyu Katsu Don - RM40. Look so tempting!

And the most popular set of the night was:

Sushi Bento - RM48

They were 6 ppl ordering this. It has sashimi, unagi, sushi and maki.

Look at the generous portion of salmon shashimi. I was hooked on the freshness of the sashimi and the thickness piece of fish.

Yummy piece of Unagi, served with mashed potato and egg kind of thing (i duno what they call it). The egg thingy was awesomely delicious!

Assorted Maki and Sushi.
The sushis were very firm, compared to other Jap Fast Food chain that easily breaks...

A happy dinner with funny bunch of people...hehe...

The price of the food in Kampachi is a bit on the high side compared to others. But given the impeccable service by the waiter/waitress and the quality of food, i will definitely come back in future for the hearty and good Jap food...
