Lunchie @ Yong Tau Foo @ FoongFoong Restaurant, Ampang

Was at Ampang attended a meeting with client yesterday with my dear Boss. It was almost lunch time by the time we finished...

Boss: What time is it?
Me: 12 pm.
Boss: Let's go lunch.
Me: Ok.
Boss: Let's have the Foong Foong yongtaufoo for lunch. You know the way?
Me: Sure *_*

Of course i know the way as i stayed in Ampang before during tertiary study. Also, our office lunch kaki would sometimes head to this shop for lunch if time permits. My dear Boss has not been visiting this shop for long (as he told me) and i was sure he would enjoy the lunch...

We ordered 20 pieces of YTF...
ArRghhhh...i'm starting to drool.......
I picked brinjal as the 1st piece and it was like love at first bite...hehe...The fish paste stuffed in it was smooth. Not forgetting the smooth tofu, fresh bitter gourd and nicely fried foochuk as well...

We also ordered dumplings. I like the clear soup very much. I personally opine that the dumplings are the best of all, and you definitely must try the fried dumplings...simply yummylicious!
~~ A simple meal for 2 pax ~~
FYI, you gotta find the table for your no. of pax, check the table number, go to the cashier counter, notify on the table number and order the food that you desire. There is no minimum order. You can order white rice and veggie as well (which i remember is only sayur sawi/choy sum). After the meal, go back to cashier, inform the table number, verify on foods consumed and pay...

There is another shop beside FoongFoong that sells YTF as well (Orchard View). I tried it before, definitely the taste is not as good as HoongHoong. Remember to try the origin of YTF...unless you wanna eat a variety of dishes like ginger wine chicken/mui choy kao yuk and etc which Foong Foong does not provide but its competitor does.

Getting there: Head towards the Ampang Police Station, pass by the traffic light, go straight again and turn right at the traffic light. After that, pass Spectrum and to the end of the road (T junction), turn right and it is on the left. The place spots a whole row of yong tau foo shops, even before arriving at this shop.

I have no map available so do ask me for direction if you plan to go. Parking is a bit limited. The shop only opens for breakfast and lunch...and it is close on Tuesday.

The lunch cost came up to RM22.40, if i not mistaken...hehe...i got free lunch so i dont bother remember it :-) thanks Boss! Should be RM0.80 per piece of YTF....cos we had 2 drinks as well...

REMINDER: The shop is super duper crowded with people during lunch time. You either go there earlier or wait patiently lo....
